Chaplain.care and Cop.care services include...
Chaplain.Care Counseling (C3) for those times when stress turns to crisis. C3 provides a ministry of presence in times of loss, a listening ear, a safe place to grieve, and a rock upon which to restore hope and rebuild resilience.
Chaplain.Care Life Coaching (CCLC)helps individuals develop healthy self-care plans that build emotional and spiritual resilience and the staying power to overcome difficult life challenges.
Chaplain.Care Intervention (CCI) offers immediate response care for veterans and law enforcement personnel struggling with the questions of life and death that may lead to thoughts of suicide or self-harm. While the Fayette community is historically a stronger community than the national average, Veterans and LE personnel are at a higher risk of suicide than the general public.

"In law enforcement we all respond to a variety of calls and needs in our community. The training offered by AFM can help officers recognize signs, comments and actions which can get an at risk person some immediate help and possibly prevent them from harming themselves. Suicide is a real problem! If we are vigilant and properly trained we can help prevent someone from choosing to end their life.Thank You for all you do Major Koon and AFM. Drive On!" Chaplain on a Mission Chaplain Kenneth Koon first began providing chaplain care in the Fayette community more than 23 years ago, following the massive fire of a tanker truck. On that fateful day, April 23, 1993, Koon was having lunch with his wife and two small boys at McDonald's when a lady began screaming "FIRE". Koon ran to the scene, but the car that had hit the tanker was already engulfed in flames. The only help Koon could provide came a few days later; organizing a firemen's appreciation day. A few days later the fire chief asked if he would be their chaplain. Koon was already an Army Reserve Chaplain so he thought this would be a good way to serve his local community. In his role as the Executive Director of Armed Forces Mission Koon regularly works with veterans and law enforcement personnel in crisis. Koon also averages more than 150 suicide interventions every year and trains more than 2600 caregivers in intervention. Being an Army Chaplain, Koon has a great appreciation and understanding of the stressful challenges faced by those in law enforcement that operate under a paramilitary structure.
